Gladys Marion Cole Thomas
Gladys Marion Cole Thomas, 84, passed away October 22, 2012 at The Place at Pooler, under the care of Hospice Savannah.
She was born December 3, 1926 in Charleston, South Carolina to the late Fleming F. and E. Louise Cole. Mrs. Thomas was a resident of Savannah since 1943, a former member of Cresthill Baptist Church and was a current member of Savannah Baptist Temple.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Parnell Thomas, Sr., and her granddaughter, Amanda Ann Garland.
She is survived by three daughters, Joyce Graham, of Savannah, Sharleen Fisher, of Springfield, GA, and Robin Brown, of Locust Grove, GA, one son, Claude P. "Rusty" Thomas, Jr., of Fernandina Beach, FL, two brothers, Robert Cole, of Martinsville, VA, and William Cole, of Atlanta, GA, two sisters, Doris Marden, of Jacksonville, FL, and Mildred Munn, of Florida.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
